Giant Motorsports has specialized in I beam suspension kits for years, and is now proud to offer the newest kit, “The Ranger/Explorer 4WD Dana 44 TTB conversion kit”.
This new kit is designed to convert your 86-97 4WD Ranger/Explorer (with stock Dana 28/35 beams and spindles) to the bigger Dana 44 TTB setup, utilizing the stock Dana 44 beams, spindles and axles.
Everyone knows the stock Dana 35 spindles are notorious for breaking in three different ways: the upright between the snout cracks, the rotor expands around the bearings causing the wheel to fall off, and the retainer bolt is known for coming loose, the 3rd members is not that great nether. The Dana 44 beam and spindle are virtually indestructible.
This easy to bolt on kit allows for added strength, a 5” lift, up to 18″ of controlled wheel travel, and widens the track width to 80”(depending on wheel offset). The passenger side beam pivot is designed stronger than most, that spans across to grab both frame rails so you will need the trim the lip on back parts of the cross member to bolt up to the new mount.
Option 1 “Full Long Travel kit” includes: Bolt-on Beam pivots, Bolt-on coil over engine cage/shock mounts, 2.5” King coil shocks, lower shock mounts, steering extensions, drop pitmen arm, limit straps, brake lines, bump stops, gussets for each beam, bolt on skid plate, Hiemed radius arms and radius arm frame mounts.
Option 2 “Med Travel kit” includes; Bolt-on Beam pivots, lower coil spring adapter, left coil springs, steering extensions, drop pitmen arm, Limit straps, brake lines, bump stops, gussets for each beam, bolt on skid plate, Hiemed radius arms and radius arm frame mounts.
