Crossover Steering for F-150 Equal-Length Beam Conversions
Ford F-150s (80–96) running an equal-length I-beam conversion move the front wheels out significantly from stock — which immediately exposes the limits of the factory steering geometry. The stock drag-link angle introduces progressive bump steer as the beams cycle through travel, and at race speeds or on rough terrain that translates directly into steering that wanders and darts.
Crossover steering corrects this by routing the drag link across the axle so the steering arm moves in a more parallel plane to the beam pivot arc. Less bump steer, more linear steering response, and a setup that holds its line when the front suspension is working hard.

Optional Heim Kit
A heim joint upgrade is available for $750 — includes bungs, spacers, and jam nuts. Heims eliminate the compliance of rubber bushings for a more direct steering feel, and are worth considering for any truck that sees regular high-speed desert running. Call to add to your order.
Compatible Applications
Fits F-150 and Bronco (80–96) trucks built with a GIANT MotorSports equal-length I-beam kit. Also used in other conversions where the steering box is moved inboard and a crossover setup is required. Call with your specific beam width and we will confirm fitment before you order.
What You Will Also Need

Installation Notes
Mounts are weld-on. MIG or TIG welding required. Pitman arm not included. Get the drag link as parallel to the lower beam as possible before committing to final weld placement.
