Giant Motorsports builds long travel leaf spring kits for Chevy S10 trucks in both 62″ and 64″ lengths. Whether you’re building a desert prerunner, a race truck, or a street-driven S10 with serious suspension, this is what you need.
Why Long Travel for Your S10?
The stock Chevy S10 rear leaf spring setup gives you a few inches of travel — enough for pavement, not enough for the desert or even fast dirt roads. A long travel spring-under conversion moves the springs from above to below the axle, dramatically increasing both droop and total travel. The result is a truck that tracks over rough terrain instead of getting bounced off it.
Giant Motorsports builds two lengths of leaf spring kits for S10 trucks, with specific notes about the S10’s wider frame that affect axle fitment.

Chevy S10 64" Long Travel Leaf Spring Kit
Spring-under conversion for S10. Note: the wider S10 frame requires a wider rear axle than stock. Up to 19" of wheel travel. Includes mounts, shackles, and bash plates.
Important Note on the S10 Frame
The Chevy S10 frame is wider than most other compact trucks. If you’re running the 64″ kit, you’ll need a wider rear axle than the stock S10 unit to clear the frame properly. Call or text us before ordering and we’ll confirm the right axle width for your build. We’ve done this before — it’s not a problem, just something to plan for.

Bolt-on 12" shackle kit for S10 and other spring-under trucks. Includes frame mounts and bushings. WIY version also available for $195.

Weld-it-yourself shackle kit. Makes a pair of 12" shackles with all frame mount hardware. Half the cost of the bolt-on version.
Leaf Spring Bash Plates
Protective bash plates for under-axle leaf spring setups. Shields U-bolts from rocks. Fits 2.75"-4.0" axle housing diameters.
4-Link Rear for the S10
Want to go further than a leaf spring setup? Giant Motorsports also builds 4-link rear suspension kits for trucks on open C-channel frames. If your S10 build goals call for more than 19″ of travel or a dedicated race setup, call us — we build custom 4-link setups for compact trucks.
