Complete Rear Long-Travel for Explorer and Sport Trac
The 1991-2001 Ford Explorer and Sport Trac have a solid rear axle with a relatively short factory spring — limited by packaging, not engineering ambition. The GIANT MotorSports rear long-travel kit addresses this directly: G50E springs, adjustable 7-9\” shackles, a bolt-in under-bed shock hoop, and custom 3.0\” x 13\” Solid Internal bypass shocks work together to deliver 16\” of total rear wheel travel.
The Solid Internal bypass shocks in this kit are specifically engineered to be progressive at the end of stroke — described by builders who have run them as extremely difficult to bottom out. That characteristic is what makes a 16\” travel kit feel planted at race speed rather than unpredictable.

Shackle Adjustment
The 7\”-9\” adjustable shackle range lets you tune ride height and spring preload after installation — useful for dialing in the balance between street driveability and maximum off-road droop. Most builders find the right position through trial and adjustment once the kit is installed.
Installation Notes
