Why You Need Crossover Steering on a Toyota I-Beam Build
Stock Toyota trucks run a drag-link steering setup that works fine with the factory narrow track width — but the moment you go to an equal-length I-beam kit and push the wheels out 8–10 inches per side, the stock steering geometry turns into a handling liability. Bump steer gets severe, and the Pitman arm angle is working against you at full droop.
Crossover steering solves this by moving the drag link to the opposite side of the axle centerline, so the steering arm travels in a much more parallel arc to the suspension. The result is dramatically reduced bump steer throughout the suspension travel, predictable steering feel at speed, and correct geometry that does not fight itself when the suspension loads up.

Compatible Applications
Designed specifically for Toyota trucks running any GIANT MotorSports equal-length I-beam conversion — 1989–1995, 1996–2004, and 2005-and-up kits. Not a universal fit; the geometry is matched to the GIANT beam kit track width and pivot locations.
What You Will Also Need
You will need a Pitman arm appropriate for your steering box and a tie rod setup that clears your specific build. Installation Notes
The mounts are weld-on. Basic fabrication skills and a MIG or TIG welder are required. Pitman arm is not included — source one appropriate to your steering box. Geometry setup is critical; take your time getting the drag link parallel to the lower beam before final welding.
